PR & PRESS

Alongside the PR collaborations, publicity work, and press coverage that I have managed as part of larger organisations' in-house teams, I have worked directly within publicity, PR and influencer marketing.
 

SLAPP: I worked as Editorial Intern for this beauty-tech retail app. As seen in ELLE, Slapp's technology allowed users of all skin tones to find their perfect makeup shades, at a time when inclusivity in the beauty industry was ignored by leading cosmetics brands. To promote this cause that was as personal as it was practical, I took charge of sourcing rising stars through social media, whose identity, lifestyle, and personality were aspirational to our target audiences. I compiled thorough contact databases and identified suitable collaborators to arrange sponsorship and content with. 

To keep our content cutting-edge, I worked closely with beauty brands to receive PR samples of products and build cross-promotional relationships. Both these product reviews as well as these influencer spotlights drove traffic on our website and in-app.

DEBUT MAGAZINE: As Online Editor, I managed the production and commissioning of web content and publicity for this first-of-its kind career magazine. Working closely with high-profile female professionals across industries to gain press for our website and their own ventures, I hosted and produced one-on-one interviews with stars such as Radio 1's Vick Hope, Broadway's Moya Angela, and mogul Ananya Birla

UNIVERSITY OF EXETER ACS: As Communications Officer, I joined a team that had inherited debt from previous administration. To protect this culturally-vital organisation for the future, we hosted regular fundraising events, both education and leisure, for students and local community. My community and press management through owned social media platforms ensured that our society was connected, promoted, and succeeding with repeatedly sold-out events.
