THE CONTEXT:​ This independent bookshop faced stiff competition in its territory. With COVID-19 forcing closure to the public, it risked losing revenue unless we could drive sales outside of bricks and mortar, and adapt new operations.

MY WORK: Fuelled by my love of books and insights into publishing trends, I took the helm of our digital marketing platforms to highlight the shop's unique beauty. I cross-promoted with authors and illustrators, shared styled product imagery, and provided standout community management to grow our visibility and foster a following.
By managing social media, I organically grew our following by 600%. When COVID-19 forced closure, the regular content calendar, weekly deals, and stock promotion I had created forged a new digital purchasing pipeline. These social media campaigns became a lifeline for the business and an avenue to fulfilment for our loyal customers, keeping the shop and the joy of reading alive in challenging times.
